    Yep, that's the theme for the sports chatterers today. There's got to be plenty of clauses, sections, parts, hoo haw and lawerly etcetera in these contracts. Illitch (owner) is a guy who walks and talks and pays from his heart. His players absolutely love him, as does the city of Detroit.
    Losing Verlander would have broken the soul of a city that has already lost so much. They're fighting to hang on, fighting to keep their heads up.
    I, for one, have grown pretty comfy seeing JV in that Olde English D.
