J.J. Redick earns another award..."Hottest NBA Player"

The object of scorn in Chapel Hill, J.J. is the object of affection for Cosmo readers, having named him the "Hottest NBA Player."

Here's the blurb from the mag:

This sexy point guard earned our MVP Award—he got the most votes of anyone (and it's easy to see why).
Think DukeBluePlanet will add this to Redick's resume?

I'm more impressed that he's made the transition to PG.

Being named a "point guard?" That's gotta be a first!

ETA: Greg Newton, you're a quick one.

The first three guys all have beards and have not used a comb in a while. Maybe I need to update my look.

I'd also point out that Jimmer Fredette still adheres to the honor code at BYU, so the Cosom ladies will be disappointed until they put a ring on his finger.

Dunleavy, Brand, Dahntay and Seth's older brother also made the list. I went through the whole thing so you dont have to.

While it's true that JJ is just the cutest of cutie pies... Cosmo loses some cred with Blake Griffin on this list. He is not a particularly attractive gentleman, but at least he can jump out of the gym and makes infinity dollars, so maybe that's what got him on there.

When I was an undergrad, the most, um, desired men's Duke basketball player was Sean Dockery. And it wasn't close.

Among the women's team, Vicki Krapohl was widely popular.

As with Redick, she, too, is married.

You're definitely right on that one...I had a major crush on Vicki, along with half the student body. The fact she's married saddens me.

Gerald Henderson wuz ROBBED. I can't argue with their #1 pick, though.

    G + JJ = Sun-melting hotness. Proof.

Go cut the grass. I'll take care of reviewing the list, thanks.

As you wish. It's probably time the men on this board had to endure a thread like this.

We can all contemplate a Jerri Reuter dance to a David Rose tune...

Is there some sort of prohibition in there from playing defense?

Jimmer's all set with a wife, sorry ladies.

Also, happy (disappointing?) moment: my work computer denies access to that link. While I'm sure it's a worthwhile network setting, it's also a subtle reminder that perhaps I shouldn't be reading Cosmo.

Back to my regularly scheduled job.

Elton Brand? Seriously? Great ball player, very talented. But mean-looking and ugly enough to stare paint off the walls....or intimidate Necktar Njdye (sp) (which is why I liked him at Duke).

And I LOVE the Zsa Zsa pick! How pretentious is his Web site!? Too damned funny! He's a huge favorite in Atlanta.

And J.J. #1? Okay, I get that. I'm a straight man but would hit it if the money was right.

Interesting. I've never thought of Elton as ugly.

Wow, good catch. I really don't like the way I wrote that. Was thinking more "ugly" in the mean and snarly sense. I never looked at him as a GQ model guy, but wouldn't say he's physically ugly either (especially to his face).

Having not really looked at Elton for awhile I have to say that he has matured very nicely. He is quite handsome.

I agree about Dahtnay. He deserves to be much higher than 30th. And how about Corey Magette? He was always a favorite. He had that great smile.

Speaking of great smiles, when Andre Dawkins gets to the NBA he will be on top of this list.

I'm female, but at 29 am apparently sorely out of touch with pre-teens and their tastes. JJ is good-looking but I gotta give the nod to Dahntay...I had a huge crush on him when I was in undergrad.
