Will D Rose's injury give rise to a new recruiting angle?

    http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story...bulls-torn-acl

"Jason Petrie, who designed LeBron James' signature sneakers, tweeted that Rose should have signed with Nike after the Chicago Bulls superstar tore his ACL ..."

    You chose poorly Pooh... #shouldasignedwithNIKE

Classlessness of the remark by Petrie aside, Iman Shumpert also wears Adidas...

Basketball ball shoes and running shoes, I only wear Nike. But clothing, hats, t-shirts, I wear Adidas.

Ricky Rubio blew out his knee in Nikes, for what it's worth. Probably not very much.

Pretty dumb comments by Petrie, this can happen in any sneaker. The man is a talented designer, however. (I'm wearing one of his creations right now)

That was very poor form by Petrie. Nothing about his comments were cute nor funny. Karma would be Petrie blowing out his ACL walking to his car in his Nike's or something. He tried to back away from his comments but ended up stepping in it again. Just a stupid and immature thing to tweet.

Not so much for basketball, but as an everyday sneaker or for running may I suggest Puma. Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

Looks to me like he was just trying to be funny.
