The Teewaaraton committee has named the five finalists for the 2012 award (lax's equivalent to the Heisman), and our C.J. Costabile is one of them.

The other four finalists are all attackmen: Peter Baum of Colgate, Will Manny of UMass, Mike Sawyer of Loyola, and Steele Stanwick of UVa (last year's winner).

Very glad to see C.J. on the list. Based on past experience, I'm guessing his chances will depend on which teams make it to the final weekend; if one or more of the attackmen get there and play well, that will be it, unless C.J. also gets there and is just amazing. But if Duke is still playing on Memorial Day weekend and these other teams are not (not sure how likely it is that none of them would get there), he has a real shot.
