The team's four-under 280 on Friday left everybody else chasing, and they played well enough on the weekend that nobody could catch them.

It is possible to win a 54-hole team event on the first day, although it doesn't happen often.

There are some really terrific women's teams representing Duke these days.

Soccer, field hockey, basketball, golf, lacrosse and tennis teams are all highly ranked and either competing for, or building toward championships, in the conference, and nationally.
Congratulations to the athletic department and esp. to the coaches and athletes for their achievements and dedication.
