Which Triple Crown Will Happen First?

With baseball season coming up, I thought it would be interesting to see what people thought about this question. For those who pick one of the baseball options, I would like to know why you think one league would be more likely than the other. The last option is basically for people who do not think we will see any of them in our lifetimes.

I went with the National League. With more big money teams in the A.L., I feel like there is probably less overall talent in the N.L. so it would be easier for one person to break through and lead all three categories. With Pujols gone to the Angels, I could see someone like Joey Votto going off and hitting for the triple crown.

I've got to say horce racing. It's come very close to happening about ten or a dozen times since Affirmed. Sometimes the failure to do so has been incredibly close (Bet Twice over Alysheba, if I'm remembering correctly, which I may not be).

A movie is not about what it's about; it's about how it's about it.

Horse racing. Only horse race I've ever been to was the 1973 Belmont Stakes. Go Big Red!

Baseball? Horse racing? I thought this poll was for when the next time would be that we'd beat the heels 3 times in a year for MBB ;>)) .
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

    Triple Crown?

Albert Pujols, This Year, with the Angels. And there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth from Cardinal nation.

I agree it will be horse racing but every year I pull against it. In 1978, I attended the Kentucky Derby and watched Affirmed win the first leg of the Triple Crown with a thrilling victory over Alydar. Whenever a horse racing conversation pops up, I enjoy being able to say I was at the Kentucky Derby the last time a horse went on to win the Triple Crown. I know, that's self-centered, petty and juvenile, but it's still fun.

If you look really close in the video, you will not see me. My friends and I spent the whole day in the infield and then took our inebriated butts underneath the Grandstand to watch the race on closed circuit TV.

Now we have our contender from the horseracing side. We will see what happens in the last two races.

I'm gonna go ahead and call "fluke" right now. Great run, but a lot of luck there.

Well since this thread got brought up again, I think I'll give "I'll have another" a much better chance than this happening. That said, not sure we have to worry about a triple crown this year from any of the 3 fronts but horse racing just seems like a matter of time while baseball seems to get much harder.

AP hit his first home run today with a man on, giving him 7 RBIs. Robbie Cano hit a granny today, doubling his RBI total to 8. Sheesh, for both those guys. And Arod hit a 3-run dinger.

Albert raised his average by going 1 for 4. Up to .196.

Wow, what a finishing stretch. Guess it wasn't a fluke (like I thought) after all.

    That was exciting, for sure.
