UCF up 1 with 3 minutes to go. uh_no must be nervous.
Down goes UConn! Wow.
(Of course, if we lost to OSU, somehow UConn will still be ranked above us, despite some clear differences in competition).
Meanwhile, UConn COULD lose 2 games here in this tourney - they face the LOSER of FSU/Harvard, which is not an easy game.
<devildeac> anyone playing drinking games by now?
7:49:36<Wander> drink every qb run?
7:49:38<loran16> umm, drink every time asack rushes?

UCF 68 - UCONN 63
Marcus Jordan channeled his father in this one, leading UCF with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Exciting BIG EAST action from the Bahamas.
awesome....love to see them lose...

What a shame.
It's not that I am dying for Duke to move up in the polls or that I think UCon(n) will be anything short of a title contender this year. I just have some residual bad feelings from being at the 2004 Final Four with a bunch of "Duck Fuke" Husky fans.
... Right when I was about to blast Uconn for an laughably soft schedule that doesn't see a top 25 team until February
I always thought UCONN was a little overrated...they got hot at the right time last year and made a run but it wasn't like they were world beaters last year, and they hadn't been overly impressive this year even though Lamb and Napier have been playing really good...
good timing, something to remember for tuesday...i just wish my alma mater good have knocked em off last night (UNCA 3-4k student body), only lost by 10
FSU up 1 with 1:20 left in OT.
FSU misses a 3 at the buzzer which would have won it. FSU's late game decisions/free throw shooting killed them. They had the game and let it slip away. Somewhat of a ticky tack foul on a UConn three that led to OT, though. FSU player shouldn't have touched the shooter though. Then Boatright made all three at the line. Drummond is going to have a lot of blocks this year. Good defensive presence for sure. UConn is very young (although talented). I think UConn will have an up and down season with some headscratching losses and quality wins. But at this point, seems like UNC/UK/Ohio St are the clear top 3 and a notch above the rest (although obviously a lot of season left, starting with us vs OSU on Tuesday).

bummer of a loss for sure, but maybe FSU can take something from this loss and play better in their OOC schedule after this.
I was surprised to see Alex Oriakhi scoreless in 10 minutes coming off the bench in UCon(n)'s near loss to FSU yesterday, considering he was the #2 scoring option on last year's title team. I almost thought about asking our resident Husky expert for the lowdown, but I decided to do a Google news search first. I'm glad, I did.
The politically-correct answer is that Drummond has been playing better and that Calhoun doesn't think that he and Orikhi can be on the floor at the same time. However, Alex has been insulting/complaining about his coach on Twitter, most recently in Nigerian.
