Advice for 3D movie purchase, please

My wife and I just purchased a 3D TV from Best Buy this week. I am not generally a big 3D nut, but I figure since I've got the technology, I'd like to buy a couple of 3D movies to have on hand and show off the technology. So, other than the obvious Avatar, are there any other movies out on Blu-Ray or coming out soon on Blu-Ray that show the technology to its best advantage? Preferably on a decent movie as well. Thanks.

My kids like Johnny Depp's Alice in Wonderland. Can't personally vouch.


Haven't seen the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit movie in 3D, but let me know how that works for you. (Saw it in a Best Buy, but passed).

i've enjoyed "despicable me" as well as "tangled", both are pretty good
animated movies...there is a message board at blu-ray.com for 3D movies
that you can peruse as well...
