Lindsey Harding and Galatasaray had a massive game against fellow powerhouse Fenerbahce as both teams were already starting to look forward to the upcoming Euroleague Women finals. Lindsey was included in the lineup as the usual shuffling in the domestic league keeping Sylvia Fowles out of the game, which had an impact as their opposition played at full strength. The game was close throughout as Lindsey sent the game into overtime before they lost 75-71. Lindsey finished with 11 points as she played more minutes than anyone else with only 108 seconds of rest. The Eurocup quarterfinals continued with the second legs of the two game quarterfinal series. On Tuesday, Germany's Ulm brought a small lead to Spain to face Bilbao and they had a promising start before the home team ran away with a 101-78 win to win 182-163 on aggregate. In the win, ex-St. John's player Lamont Hamilton had 21 points and 9 rebounds while in the loss, ex-Santa Clara player John Bryant had 21 points and 8 rebounds, ex-Ohio player Steven Esterkamp had 13 points, and ex-Villanova player Allan Ray had 10 points.
The other three series concluded on Wednesday. In Russia, Unics Kazan won their game against Valencia 71-68, but could not overturn the 10 point deficit from the first game and lost 148-141 on aggregate. In this game, ex-South Carolina player Chuck Eidson had 18 points and 8 rebounds, ex-Saint Louis player Ian Vougioukas had 11 points, and Vladimir Veremeenko, who was drafted in the second round in 2006 by the Washington Wizards before his rights were traded in 2010 to the Chicago Bulls, had 10 points in the win. The results of the quarterfinals have created the semifinal pairings, which will also be conducted using a two legged aggregate series. Bilbao will face Budivelnik and Lokomotiv Kuban will face Valencia with the two winners slated to face off in Charleroi, Belgium with a spot in next season's Euroleague on the line.
