Lest it get lost in the avalanche of tourney links, I want to be sure everyone notices the Luol Deng piece linked on the front page today. There's often a debate of sorts around here over whether short-term players qualify as "true Blue Devils." I think each situation is different, but in the case of Luol Deng, my answer is an unequivocal YES. Many posters have alluded to his upbringing and the civil strife in his home country of Sudan as major reasons why he, more than many others, felt compelled to get to the NBA as quickly as possible. The impact he's been able to make on Sudan's people and his teammates and the Chicago Bulls organization clearly illustrate that.
I urge everyone to take a look at the article.
