I won't be impressed until he can do it in semaphore.
Feb 9th? Really?
Okay, did anyone notice that Kyrie is not using his crutches anymore? He was dragging them during the Maryland game, today I didn't see crutches at all.
Probably because he was on the bench and had them tucked away, as he does every game.
People have already made this mistake for other games because they don't see the crutches during the few seconds that Kyrie is on camera. The real question is: did you see him go to or from the locker room without crutches, or are you referring to when he sits on the bench and the few times he stands up during a timeout? If the former, then it's significant. If it's the latter, it's nothing new.
personally, i am not feeling confident that he will be back AT FULL STRENGTH in time to make a difference.
don't mean to rain on the parade, but this has been a large break in his physical where-with-all and even if he's cleared to play on the toe, there's a certain time frame that he will be very tentative on it..
i still think this team is a very good team without kyrie, they will have to get better if they expect to make a good run...
"One POSSIBLE future. From your point of view... I don't know tech stuff.".... Kyle Reese
actually, i was referring to how the foot/toe feels....kind of like coming out of a cast for a broken leg...they tell you your leg has mended, but you've been off of it so long that you have some apprehension about subjecting it to the regular stress and strain of running, jumping, cornering, etc...

Yes, moonie, for a mortal such as yourself (and mine own self) perhaps that would be so, but we're talking about an exceptional Blue Devil: a Duke point guard. A rare and singular breed.
At least I hope so....
would you rather:
have kyrie back for the post season, and watch him play for three weeks at full strenth with this year's team, and enter the draft; or, have him miss the remainder of the season, and return for a full sophomore campaign with next year's squad?
just something that i've started to think about lately a lot, given what a joy it was to watch the kid play those first seven games. wondering what some of the rest of you think (minus variables, such as whether or not we win a given title with or without him, etc.)
I will take him for a month, win the NCAA, and roll the dice whether he returns for a full season. Rivers is on the way in and is the real deal. I don't think Duke wins a NC without him.
Hi,
I would rather Kyrie be happy, fully healed, and live a full life without further repercussions of this awful injury.
If he is able to play this year so be it. If he can play this year and next year so be it. If he leaves for the NBA draft without ever playing again so be it.
Get well Kyrie, no matter what you will always be a great Blue Devil in my eyes.
GO DUKE!
I'm just hoping he doesn't skip the season and enter the draft.
