    If my math is correct...

A Duke win today bumps UNC to, at best, 4th in the ACC. They'd be 10-6, and they'd lose tiebreakers to both Maryland (in the clubhouse at 10-6) and Va Tech (at 10-5). If BC loses, they'd drop to 5th, and UNC would be 4th. But a BC win and a UNC loss would put UNC 5th, no?

Man, a win over UNC is always a wonderful feeling, but it's an even more appealing prospect if it could mean UNC will be in a play-in game in the year they are supposed to be a top-5 team!

    heels can still finish 5th

The heels can still finish in 5th place. This from today's Durham Herald-Sun:

"If the Tar Heels lose today, they'll fall to fifth for sure if Boston College and Virginia Tech win today (because they lose the tiebreaker with Maryland). If Virginia Tech loses but Boston College wins, the Tar Heels also would fall to fifth by losing a three-way tiebreaker for two byes with Virginia Tech and Maryland."

Step one: we have to beat them heels today!

Step two: we need BC to win today at GT.

Step one may turn out to be easier than step two.

    Go Duke!!!!
