From Duke press release

"As the 2010 WNBA campaign gets under way on Saturday, May 15, a total of six former Duke women’s basketball players have secured roster spots as the season kicks off. Former Blue Devil stars Lindsey Harding (Washington), Monique Currie (Washington), Alana Beard (Washington), Mistie Bass (Chicago), Chante Black (Tulsa) and Alison Bales (Atlanta) will all be suiting up for the 2010 season.

Kicking off the action on Saturday will be Chicago at Connecticut at 3:30 p.m., while Washington will be at Indiana at 7:00 p.m., Atlanta at San Antonio at 8:00 p.m., and Minnesota at Tulsa at 8:00 p.m. Los Angeles will also travel to Phoenix, which will be aired live on ESPN2 at 2:00 p.m.

Harding and Currie will lead the Washington Mystics in 2010, while Beard will miss the season due to ankle surgery last month. The Mystics are coming off a 16-18 overall record in 2009 and advancing to the WNBA playoffs before falling to Indiana in the conference semifinals. Harding averaged 12.8 points, 4.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals, while starting all 34 contests in 2009.
Currie is entering her fifth WNBA season and averaged 8.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists last year for the Mystics. Her role will be more expended this season with the injury to Beard. Beard was coming off another all-star season where she averaged 15.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.2 assists for Washington.

After being signed late in the 2009 campaign by the Chicago Sky, Bass made a big impression starting five of the eight contests to close out the year. She averaged 6.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in that limited time. Chicago posted a 16-18 overall record in 2009.

Coming off a 2009 season where she did not play in the WNBA, Bales will enter her second stint with the Atlanta Dream in 2010. She started nine of 17 games played for the Dream in 2008 and started both contests at center in exhibition action this year. Atlanta posted an 18-16 overall record in 2009.

Moving from Detroit to Tulsa in the offseason, the Shock will kick off their first season in the state of Oklahoma on Saturday. Black, a former first round draft pick in 2009 of the Connecticut Sun, was traded to Tulsa on 2010 draft day and will enter her first year with the Shock, after averaging 2.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocked shots last year. Detroit amassed an 18-16 overall record a year ago and advanced to the conference finals in the playoffs."
