Kyle totally saved our bacon with numerous key shots when we were having trouble generating offense, while simultaneously holding their best player to 2 for 11 from the field. We love you Kyle!!

Have to vote for Kyle given his across the board performance. Played good D, swished a lot of shots, he was the man.

But honorable mention to Zoob for his amazing D inside. And great plays to save the game at the end.

And honorable mention to Jon for his all around great game, scoring 15, only 2 turnovers against a very good defensive team, and 5 assists.

And honorable mention to the sixth man (me, and maybe you). I caused at least one missed free throw gesturing at the TV. And I wrenched my back on numerous rebounds influencing the caroms into Duke's hands. Spilled a beer or two in the process, and incurred the wrath of wife. These things don't get noticed by the press, but I have to give myself credit where credit is due. So for that, and the mojo I borrowed from the cat down the stretch (made all the difference on that last play), I get honorable mention too.

I had to cast my first vote for Zoubek. His improvement took this team from good to great the last 4 weeks.

I voted for Kyle Singler. He was solid for 40 minutes. All five starters earned the National Championship by playing strong team basketball, however, Singler stood out as the Man of Steel with a gutty performance in a fantastic win!
