So was it a smart play for Zoobs to miss the foul shot. I would have coached this way: Make it and then let them inbounds it and foul them before the shot.
Whew my heart stopped for a minute

I assume Butler didn't have any TOs left. I wish Zoubs would have made it but hey I'll live with it!
Well, I don't have any champagne, but I have lots and lots of chardonnay. I will have less in the morning!!
Anyone know where I can watch the team cutting down the nets?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm at a lose of words. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!
What a game! What a team! The unlikely champs! The sweetest victory!
I swear I can't take these close games anymore.
I can't believe these kids won it all! I don't think I can go to sleep tonight! lol!
National Champions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a huge debate about this at work as Vandy went down to Murray State to start the Tournament. I said I'd always take up one with a team that will play defense - I was the only one of the 3 who felt this way. Looks like the debate will be resumed tomorrow morning!
Once it got 60-59, I was nearly sure we would lose...I am soooo glad these players proved me wrong. I nearly had a heart attack.
But what? were we afraid of overtime? If Zoubek makes that free throw there's no way we lose and we most likely still win in regulation. If he misses it, it's the same deal as missing on pupose, pretty much.
Had Butler's shot fallen I cannot imagine the criticism.
Please don't crush this post. I'm ecstatic, but really really confused.
Congrats to the Duke Blue Devils!!! What a special team!
Butler was NO slouch at all, but I'm very proud of the Blue Devils!
on his (my) local newscast in Philly. A-bout time!
seriously! i had 3 strokes!!!
well done boys! as many have said already, we EARNED that!!!!
blood sweat and tears!
so happy for the seniors and kyle!!!!!
and just think in october we were all worried how this team would fare with only having two scholarship guards and a third coming early from hs. Who would have fathomed this team would have won the national championship?
Especially because Howard threw his shoulder into that pick to get Hayward clear of Kyle.
