Two points...

1. Her boyfriend is a complete idiot for dating an established nutcase who will throw you in jail because she doesn't like the way you smile at her.

2. Police charged Mangum with identity theft because she gave them a fake name, "Marella Mangum," and age, authorities said.

No it's not. If there is a person with that name (like a relative), then giving that name to police means that person would have to deal with their name dragged through the mud at the minimum. a.k.a., when someone steals your identity you have to deal with that. It's a completely legit charge.
