    MBB: Oklahoma 80, Texas 71

Looks like Oklahoma's taking it to them in the latest edition of the Red River Rivalry.

Texas has obviously struggled as of late, odd to see how sharp the drop-off has been.

Right now, Oklahoma is up 59-46 with 12:56 left in the 2nd.

If Texas does end up losing, we should move back into single-digit rankings in the AP Poll.

Texas is making a run early in the second half. They've cut it to 9. They're better than Oklahoma (especially with Willie Warren not playing at full strength). But they don't look good right now. Essentially, this team is no different than last year's team as long as Pittman continues his disappearing act in 2010.

Actually it's a lot different than last year's team. Just as frustrating, but the struggles and the solutions are different. Texas DOES NOT need Pittman to be a good team. They just need to run a coherent offense and they seem incapable at this point. This needs to be Damion James and Avery Bradley's team. Bradley is in full on Gerald Henderson as a freshman mode and deferring way more than he should to less talented upper classmen.

Also, Oklahoma was just unconscious in the first half from 3. TMG has hit about 3-4 threes with a hand in his face. Can't beat that.

--- edited to say -- and they are worse in free throws than Memphis 2 years ago. Sickening. I am so happy Duke is such a solid FT team.

Oklahoma wins, 80-71. Nice to see Capel get the win.

Texas struggled from the line even more than Duke did today, only going 10 for 27.
