    Fox Deal with Time Warner

Hopefully this will positively affect many of you who depend on FSS access to some of the Duke games, particularly the Sunday night games.

If anyone knows more detail, please post!

    settlement

Does this whole issue remind anybody else of most sports labor negotiations?

My point is that both sides flirt with disaster, taking the issue to the final hour ... then settle on terms they could have gotten without all the histrionics.

I've seen it play out dozens of times in the cable TV industry and quite frequently in labor negotiations. Every once in a while, we'll actually have a strike (or lose a channel or two), but 99 percent of the time it works out -- at the last minute.

Too much to lose for each of them if they don't get it worked out.
