    Farm Town

Has anyone been playing Farm Town, the Facebook game/application? My wife has gotten into it pretty good. I don't really get the allure but I'm still not into the Facebook thing either, so maybe that is my problem. Don't even get me going about Twitter. I don't look forward to having to explain it to my kids when I'm getting ridiculed for it down the road (like i did with 8-tracks to my parents).

I am an avid Farmtowner... It is just a silly way to spend time but it is fun to set up your farm, etc. If anyone needs a neighbor, add me.

    count me in

I am also an avid farmtown-er and waste way too much time with it. It's similar to many online games - you build up resources to earn money and goods, all while gaining experience points that give you access to newer items. But it's different from most other games in that you can work at other people's farms to earn money/experience (or hire them to work for you) which gives a whole community aspect. This also means that there is no limit to how much time you can spend playing (unlike other games in which you have a certain number of turns per day). I think the social aspect of trying to earn work is a lot of what makes it so addictive. That and the constant desire to earn and unlock more stuff.
