    Life and Times of Tim

Is there anyone else who watches this HBO series? I had never even heard of it but got to watch 6 episodes (approx. 13 mins each) as part of HBOs Emmy submission.

I am telling you, I was howling. It is great humor. Very deadpan and witty.

Here is one episode you can watch on YouTube. Enjoy!

My wife swears the main character sounds exactly like Ray Romano.

Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

I've seen it once or twice while chanel surfing while in hotel rooms traveling for business (I don't have HBO at home). Each time I was absolutely glued to the TV. Great stuff.

I think it's very funny, and Stu in particular really cracked me up. By the end of the season though, I felt like the episodes were pretty redundant.
Demented and sad, but social, right?

    Back in Vegas... again.
Wait a sec... back it up. Going on a tangent here (but hey, Jason, you brought it up)... you get to view the Emmy nominated submissions? How'd you finagle that?

Well I think he just went to work one day and his boss made him watch it. Now he has to support his boss, and walk the dog. He doesn't know what comes next. Maybe he gets to cast his bosses vote.

Jason, it didn't impress me, but thanks for the view. My wife and I watched another HBO show last night (thanks to netfix) that was simply great!

I agree with this completely. It lost my attention after 3 or 4 episodes.

Everyone who votes on the Emmys is on a list and the TV networks send out copies of shows they want to be considered for an award. HBO sends out this beautiful packet of DVDs with a couple hours of many of their shows and a suggestion of the categories for which the shows should be considered.

Senior executives at various TV networks get to vote on the Emmys. Some of them retain this even after they retire. My mother is one of those and she loans me her submission DVDs for viewing.
