    Fact or Fiction?

    Similarities to Lance Thomas?

Already stacked with versitale big men and lets not forget potentially this coming year could be Singlers final season I wonder how all this will play out...

    Lubick

Anybody else a little confused by the note on the front page?

Not saying I have any inside info, but what's with the mention of Georgetown granting him a release? Lubick is a verbal to Georgetown -- they have no hold over him if he changes his mind.

He's also a 2010 recruit, so I don't see where he could be at Duke this fall. If he does decommit and wants to come to Duke (and Duke wants him), then he would arrive in the fall of 2010.

FWIW, Lubick is listed everywhere I've checked as a true power forward -- although I see his height listed at 6-7 some places and 6-8 in others. He's a borderline top 50 guy in the Class of 2010 (scout has him at No. 47/ Oettinger ranks him No. 52).

There must be something under the woodwork though because Duke, as far as I understand, never offered a scholarship.

Dude averaged 2.5 blocks a game. Details provide that he does the dirty work most players would'nt do. I love spunk.

There was some mutual interest between Duke and Lubick but Lubick wasn't a top priority and he committed to Georgetown so early Duke didn't really have to make a decision.

Some have compared him to Jon Brockman and Brockman sure would have looked good in Duke blue the last four seasons. But even if Lubick were to become available, I'm not sure Duke would prefer him over Roscoe Smith, Dominique Ferguson, even Tarik Black.

So, something to monitor but not something to get excited about.

    Fiction (for now)

It seems once NBE interviewed Lubick his tone changed:
