Duke fans: how pissed are you that Memphis got Latavious?? http://www.highschoolhoop.com/recrui...ra-at-memphis/
well they deserve to get somebody decent after coach cal stole all their recruits earlier.
Memphis can have him. Between Kelly and Plumlee we are already stocked at the power forward position. And since Duke wasn't even looking, can't say that I'm that upset. Aren't you missed back on the memphis boards?

Some nice comments on Duke recruits on that site:

Mostly at you. I find the title obnoxious and wish the moderators would relieve me of the pain of looking at a disgusting title when I open the Board.
Also, BTW, when are we going to do something about 'urinalcake?'
sagegrouse
'Sorry for the rant. I guess the "grouse" part momentarily overcame the "sage" part.'
I don't think Kelly is a "power" forward yet. Maybe with strength training he could develop, especially at his height. But we need Lance to break out and become that star we all waited so long to get signed.
I'm going by what Rivals had his position at.

P.S. I'm counting down the minutes until BBallhead's holiday starts. Unfortunately, his boat hasn't left yet as of this post.

Good grief. If you're gonna go trolling, please try to be at least a little creative about it...
BTW, from the latter part of the article you linked, it doesn't exactly sound like this Latavious kid was exactly Duke sort of academic material, which probably explains why we didn't recruit him. Probably a good fit at Memphis though.
After getting consensus Top 5 prospect in the Class of ‘08, Greg Monroe, John Thompson III has only one player (maybe two, depends on your ranking) in the Top 150. The Hoyas were in the running for Williams, but Thompson is yet to take on a partial academic qualifier. That meant the Hoyas were holding out waiting for some of Williams’ academics to sort out. Instead of pairing Williams and Monroe in the frontcourt with 6-6 SF Hollis Thompson replacing DaJuan Summers at the three, Georgetown will need to Monroe and Thompson to shoulder a bigger burden.
Interesting note about G'town though. Am betting the Greg might have expected bigger things (than just one top-150 playmate) when he made his college choice. Now THAT one actually was a disappointment...
Who?
Huh?
I suppose we need a little comic relief once in awhile.
I looked on both Scout and Rivals and didn't see a Lavatvious Williams listed in the '09 or '10 classes yet this article ( http://www.highschoolhoop.com/recrui...ce-stephenson/ ) claims he's a 5 star recruit. Who is he?
