Even before you get the poll choices up... the redemption of Anakin, hands down.
"I love you."
"I know."
Since you included it, I fear that Leia's metal bikini will win. I REALLY like that part, but it's not the "best" star wars moment.
"Luke, I am your father" is not an actual SW quote. He says "No", not "Luke". It's misquoted up there w/ "Play it again, Sam."
And it's Obi-wan and Qui-jon vs. Darth Maul, not Obi and Ani.

I voted for Vader tossing the Emperor to his death, only because I already knew about Vader being Luke's father prior to actually seeing the film. I know, I suck, but I was really late in seeing the movies! I probably didn't see the original three until the 90s, early 2000s! But in my defense, I wasn't born until '84!!!
The redemption of Anakin is the whole crux of the story, it follows a great fight between father and son, we see the Emperor at his coldest and creepiest, the staging of the throne room is fantastically done, and John Williams' score for the scene gives me the chills every time I hear it.
"So be it... Jedi" Ian McDiarmid's venom as he spits out the word jedi is tremendous!
ETA: This whole part of the film makes ROTJ my absolute favorite in spite of the Ewoks!
ETA2: Granted, when ROTJ came out when I was 7, Ewoks were like crack to me.
Does the Battle of Hoth count as a moment?
In a morbid and very disturbed way, I always enjoyed the moment where the one Ewok tries to wake up his Ewok friend who was just killed. Nope, I'm sorry, he's not waking up. He's dead.
You were not the only one to love that scene.
I think I am going to vote "other." For me, there were a few quick snippets that I think were my favorite... I am not sure why, but my favorite moments aren't the battle scenes or even the ewok dying scenes (although I did love those) but some simply pieces of dialogue... although the "I love you..." "I know." is up there. You guys know that scene was just like the "sword fight" scene in Indiana, right? She flubbed the line so many times that Ford, who had heard it about 30 times, just went with "I know." Tah dah! Honestly though, I thought the Leia/Solo scenes were the best thing about Star Wars.
Yeah, and I really did take a Star Wars class at Duke.
Anyway... my top 3 moments!
#3...
Vader: No disintegrations!
Fett: As you wish.
#2
Han: We don't have time to debate this in committee!!
Leia: I am NOT a committee!!
And my #1 Star Wars moment...
Han: Come on, admit it. Sometimes you think I'm all right.
Leia: Occasionally...Maybe...When you aren't acting like a scoundrel.
Han: Scoundrel? Scoundrel?...I like the sound of that.
Leia: Stop that.
Han: Stop what?
Leia: Stop that...My hands are dirty.
Han: My hands are dirty too. What are you afraid of?
Leia: Afraid?
Han: You're trembling.
Leia: I'm not trembling.
Han: You like me because I'm a scoundrel. There aren't enough scoundrels in your life.
Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han: I'm nice men.
Was that right before they went to kiss and C3PO ruined yet another moment?
Absolutely! What other use does ol'Golden Rod have?
For me, the scene/moment that always gives me chills is when Darth Vader finds out Luke has a sister (by reading Luke's mind) and Luke goes off on Vader, culminating the loss of Vader's hand and the final time Luke turns down the Emperor. It shows Luke getting oh so close to giving into his hatred, but then pulling back, showing that he will never turn.
But that's just my 2 cents.

I think its just a classic line when he says "Luke, I am your father".
Yup, I voted for that too. That moment was an earthshattering change in Hollywood. It was the first time a sequel contained a major twist that turned everything on its ear. It blew me away. For the next couple years, until Jedi came out, there was a near-constant debate as to whether Vader was telling the truth.
And, here it is!! (cue to about the 1:50 mark if you do not want to see the pre-fight where Luke gets his hand chopped off).

I still harbor ill will toward Lucas for that "twist." As I understand the Jedi, a Jedi Knight would NOT lie. "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the old Republic." So when Obi Wan tells Luke that his father was "betrayed and murdered" by Darth Vader:Originally Posted by Duke #33

that is not the truth, even "from a certain point of view."
To me, such ambiguity about the truth is the slippery slope slanted toward the Dark Side.
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?
I can't remember the exact lines, it's been a while, but one of my favorite moments was in ROTJ when Han told Leia he'd stay out of the way so she and Luke could get together. She tells him Luke's her brother, and the look on Solo's face is priceless. You can just SEE the wheels turning as he's noodling that through.
My favorite is the scene where Jar Jar Binks dies horribly.
Or maybe I just dreamed it.
I was always partial to the corny medal ceremony at the end of Star Wars.
