I hook my touch up to my stereo to play music in my living room/dining room/kitchen (and when the weather is nice, out on my deck and yard). So I was happy to find the ap called Public Radio Tuner. (free)
This ap streams many public radio stations so now I can stream WNCW without having to use my computer.
WUNC is on there - not my fav but it reminds me of home.
WXPN is on there too, my second favorite next to WNCW.
WNKU is not - my third favorite public radio station.
Let me know your favorite public radio station and I'll check it out.
Also, if you know other cool aps let me know.

How about WCPE, the Classical Station? http://theclassicalstation.org/
Or maybe WDAV, the Davidson station? http://www.wdav.org/18_174_0.cfm
Another favorite, especially for their jazz and big band in addition to classical music is WVTF, the Virginia Tech station. http://www.wvtf.org/
If you like jazz, you'll find lots of it on WNCU, the NC Central station. http://www.wncu.org/
Itunes has a great list to choose from, too. I used to think WNCU was the best I could find for jazz until I found KPLU out of Tacoma, Wash on Itunes. It is the all time best for classical jazz....or any other kind for that matter. Try http://www.jazz24.org

I used to love to listen to jazz and Dixieland on a public radio station in New Orleans when I'd visit there... maybe WWOZ http://www.wwoz.org/.
