Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that. Because she battled so long and hard, you just don't expect to hear news like this....
Our kindest regards to Kay's family and Wolfpack fans....very sad day.
Her long overtime battle with cancer has ended.
A great coach and a great role model.

Man, what sad news to wake up to. Blessings to her family. R.I.P. Kay Yow.
Did she just pass away this morning? A link? I see no one else talking about this (web sites, sportscenter, etc.)
I'm assuming it just happened?
Oh, just found link: http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/c...y/1380259.html

A profile of Kay Yow last week on national TV was heartwarming.
The team had placards describing Coach Yow's wins, the scant few number of coaches that had won that many game (5), and the number of coaches like Coach Yow (zero).
I watched it thinking it was one of the nicest gestures any group could ever make about any one person.
Very sad news. I hope they have a moment of silence before the game.
There's a special place in Heaven reserved for her. May her fighting spirit thrive forever. Best wishes and sympathies to her family.
Here is a really nice column from ESPN on her loss.

I'm just at a loss for words. My thoughts & prayers to her family.
What a remarkable coach. What a remarkable woman. What a remarkable human being.
Kay Yow was quite a classy person.
I am deeply saddened at the news of the passing of Kay Yow. She demonstrated for many years a winning spirit, both on and off the court. She was an inspiration to us all.
May the Lord Bless this family and hold them close during this difficult time.
Deepest sympathy. What a class act! Support cancer research in her memory...
Kay Yow was and will always be an inspiration. Thoughts and prayers for her family.
I am in complete shock right now. My thoughts are were here family. It is scary to think that she was coaching 3 weeks ago and now she is gone. What a sad day in the triangle.
My thoughts are with her family and friends. Kay Yow had a tremendous heart.
Deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and the NCSU community. She was, and will continue to be, an inspiration to many.
Favorite Kay Yow quote: "Don't drown in self-pity. Swish your feet a little, then get out."
Rest in peace.

I knew this day would come, but I'm still incredibly saddened by this news. My thoughts are with her family and all who were close to her. Godspeed, Coach.
You knew this was coming, and probably soon, but that doesn't make it any less sad.
