Bales to Indiana Fever, 9th pick
Latta to Detriot Shock, 11th
I honestly hate to indulge in schadenfreude, but I'll admit I'm tickled that Latta didn't go in the top 10.
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I am thrilled that Harding and Bales went #1 and #9 respectively in the WNBA draft! Despite the somewhat precipitous departure from the NCAA tournament, these two seniors had a stellar season, and I'm glad that they have been recognized like this at the next level.
Of course, I am also delighted that both went before Ivory Latta , one of the few basketball players of either gender that I find extraordinarily impossible to like.
Go DEVILS!!!!!!

latta is going to be coached by Bill Laimbeer.
Yeah, Bill will surely clean up her punk-a** behavior.
Mazel Tov to these two Duke leaders!
As a Detroit Shock fan, I am sick to my stomach at the thought of seeing Latta in a Shock uniform. Not to mention that Latta was their only pick of the draft. Burnspbesq is right...Laimbeer will knock that ****-eating grin right off her face on Day 1.
Oops, my bad: I forgot to turn on the sarcasm indicator. I no more expect Laimbeer to clean up Latta's act than I expect Karl Rove to testify under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee (i.e., not at all). Teams are reflections of their coaches, and Ive-wee is the perfect embodiment of Laimbeer's attitude, which doesn't seem to have changed one tiny little bit since he was a pasty-faced sophomore at Notre Dame. Did he and Bilas go to the same high school? That's hard to fathom.
