Wall is in a class of his own. He's unbelievable. A highlight film everytime he touches the ball.
But who needs a taller Chris Paul?

There wasn't one seat available in the entire gym for the 37th Annual Glaxo Invitational. Extra Police were called in to disburse the crowd outside. Kelly and Wall led their teams to the next round.

Watzone, did you see Chris Collins there? I'm curious if he was there for long and what the extent of the violation was (did he converse with any recruits, was he alone, etc...)?
Both Chris and Doug Collins walked through the gym from one end to the other (in plain view of everybody) about halfway through the game preceding Kelly's and took seats offered them at the end on press row. They were pointed out my many observers and nobody thought much of it since coaches have routinely attended these games. Coach sightings are one of the fun things about attending.
It didn't appear at any time that they were in contact with any players at all. their seats were on an upper level.
We left before the WOG game. I'm assuming they stayed to watch Wall.
This tourney is a blast, by the way! They need a much bigger venue, but there's something "Cameronesque" about all those enthusiastic folks packed into that venerable old school gym.
Billerman's Duke influence on Ravenscroft is obvious. These kids calmly "go to the office". Kelly has capable team mates who don't look to him to save them. He lets the game come to him and then exerts his influence when the time is right.
Condolences ,please to my grandson, Native....whose Panther Creek Catamounts lost to Kelly and Ravenscroft last night. Bless their hearts.
Love, Ima

N&O accounts of semifinal games from Saturday; Mason Plumlee and the Christ School Greenies will be matched up in the finals of their bracket against Kinston, NC, which features Tar Heel recruit Reggie Bullock.
Kelly and Plumlee had nice games last evening, both of their teams advancing. Here is the game story on Christ Schools victory. http://bluedevilnation.net/?p=1517
Feel free to add tournament links here. I will have a Kelly piece up shortly.

Christ school should beat Kinston. They seem to have enough talent on that roster to beat almost anyone.

Thanks for the updates, Mark.
That finals matchup in the Shav division sounds divine.
So its Plumlee vs Wall. I wonder if Plumlee will block Wall?
One heckuva entertaining game tonight. Coach K, Wojo, Nate James, Elliot, Miles, Kyle and Jon were all their to watch and amazing comeback win for Christ School over Word of God. Mason threw the ball underhanded hitting the glass and in the same motion caught the carrom and slammed it home. He won the MVP. Wall had 35. I will have a write up with exclusive quotes sometime today.
Here is a fairly long game article with pictures and quotes from last nights game.

It's hard to caputre the second half atmosphere in words.
Its hard sometimes thinking about this season when we have Mason and Ryan coming in next season and all the potential.
