Well, I took advantage of Dell's Cyber Monday deal ($50 off) to order an Inspiron Mini 9. I'm going with the ultralight version - no HD, just the SSD, although I got the biggest one they offered - 32 GB. I also upped the RAM to 1 GB. I'm going with the Ubuntu Linux instead of XP, as I figure XP would probably choke on just 1 GB of RAM. It ought to weigh less than 3 lbs. total - maybe less than 2.5. Can't wait to try it out!

I only have dead plants in my back yard. I do have a proper Korean tombstone guarding them.

    Not officially a gadget...

But this is what I got for my parents. It's their Hanukkah/Birthday/Anniversary/Flag Day/etc gift for next year +.

Now understand, my parents have everything. Ok not everything, but you know what I mean. They don't need anything, and I was at a loss for what to get them at all. (And they say I'm a challenge... you just can't give your parents a check- lol). Here's the last 2 years for them:

Dad- Framed personalized/customized NY Giants print (LY), suede Giants jacket (2 yrs)
Mom- One of a kind scuplture wine glass holder (LY- artsy thing that holds 2 wine glasses), tri-color pearl/white gold station necklace (2 yrs)

Last year was hard enough to top the previous year, so this year was especially bad. I was thinking that they always have people over, and they always make popcorn, so this could be fun. Plus, how fun would this be for their Super Bowl parties. It can be used as shown w/ the cart, or the machine part can be removed from the cart and placed on the counter. Scoop is included.

I also got them popcorn packets (premeasured popcorn/oil/seasoning) and popcorn bags.

What do you think of it? (I already ordered it so... )

    EXCELLENT choice, Sue!!

    That is an ultimate gadget.

Now all you need is a hot dog maker and an ice cream maker.

    Nah. Those would be overkill.

We can add the cheese dispenser to the Isle o' Fixins. We can add one of those serving tray thingies with jalapenos, onions, cilantro, and tomatoes.

You should also get them some of that special Velcro floor varnish for when they decide to use the machine on movie night.
