Sick football hit, even sicker catch

You have got to see this.

The first :18 seconds are worthless but then comes one of the most amazing catches you will ever see.

That was pretty sweet. Is that college or high school or what? If it's high school, maybe we oughta send the tape of both players to Coach.

Here are some more sick football hits:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cw3qZnDbs8 - a kid takes a ginormous hit from Kimbo Slice for $100. The hit sounds like a gunshot. (some NSFW language can be barely heard near the end)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lItHWlYpRRM - Quentin Coryatt. The greatest hit in football history.

I am NOT a fan of head hunters. These hits are just dangerous. As a former player myself, these really concern me. These kids see the NFL players do this, and they think it's cool. And the way they stand over their victims and celebrate just sickens me. It's not impressive to lay somebody out that doesn't even see it coming. It's cowardly if anything. You give me a running start and let me earhole them, and I can take anybody out too. It's one thing to meet a guy in the hole head on and put him down, or run over him, or catch a guy from behind with superior speed, but blind-siding people is just wrong to me. Like these:

Now THIS is a great hit. Not only does he crush the guy, but he helps him off the field. What a gentleman! I do hope the guy survived, cause it's not 100% from the video. Might not be safe for work.

Folks, it ain't the hit that makes the play... it is the catch.

I think it is actually a college game - Chadron State College in Chadron, NE. And the catch is amazing.

The hit in the video Jason linked, while bone-crushing, wasn't dirty at all. A receiver has to expect to get hit or watch for, and avoid, potential hits. The kid who hit him did so in the torso, he was hardly head hunting.

I dunno, it looked like he hit him right up under the chin. That's just dangerous.

To me it looked like shoulders into chest (granted, up high on the chest but still...).

Not even close. You are too young to have watched Jack Tatum of the Oakland Raiders and Ohio State. He was called "The Assassin" for good reason.
