Is it me, or is this guy just full of himself. First there were the comparison's to himself as Jesus in that he is a storyteller and was on Rolling Stone posing in a Crown of Thorns, then there was the whole 'Bush hates black people' deal. I think his music is decent, but to be the 'Michael Jordan' of music is saying a bit much. I would say Tiger Woods is the 'Jordan' of golf, Federer is(was) the 'Jordan' of tennis, etc...but don't see anyone in music that compares. Thoughts?

I'm not sure whether it makes any sense to take him seriously. I think he's a great performer, and this type of stuff is his performance. He keeps himself in the news by saying silly things, and that helps sales.

DIK, you've got a place in my heart too. That America's Team stuff always cracked me up - my standard answer was "how come America's Team could never beat the Steelers?"

And as for Oakland, I'm convinced they're remaking "Weekend at Bernie's" with Al Davis as Bernie. Living human beings don't look like that.

I'll have to pass on the Kanye as MJ question - that's above my pay grade. All I can say is "not him" but I don't have an alternative that I can suggest...
