    2004 Final Four Game

Was on yesterday and I watched the entire thing. Sad thing is it pissed me off the second time more than the first time. It made me see how things could have been different last year if old Deng would have came back. Just my 2 cents for the day.

Even had he stayed longer, I find it unlikely that he would have stayed four years, through 2007. He was recruited when the Boozer/JWill 3 year plan was all the rage. Duhon probably would have done it had his jr-year draft stock been high enough.

Deng coming back for 2005 or 2006, and Deng coming back for 2007 are two different hypotheticals, really.

A movie is not about what it's about; it's about how it's about it.

Well, imagine the '06 team with Deng. We might be looking at four banners right now.

    Thats precisely...

What I was getting at. Imagine last year with him being able to create a shot for himself. That along with JJ, Williams, McBob, and Paulus...what might have been...

    Was.

It is from the movie "Semi Tough". I think Kris Kristofferson said it, although it could have been Burt Reynolds. Great line. Actually, it is "what could have been ... was".

Talk about an imposing defensive front court - would have loved to see that front line go against LSU and Florida.

We could be looking at 4 banners if Grant Hill had blocked Scottie Thurman's 3 point prayer. Oh well, thats the way it goes.

Actually, IIRC, it was Tony Lang that missed blocking Scotty Thurman's late 3 in that game.

It was Tony Lang, who was playing pretty good D. Thurman just got really lucky.
