Imagine an oak, about the height of 80 feet, draped with so many streamers of toilet paper that it may have more similarities to a weeping willow.
All the kids hated _______ who ran the local recreation center in a manner that was akin to the job of a warden. He paid for that honor every Halloween.
I am proud to say that I was never involved.
I wish we had had those when I was still trick-or-treatin'. Would have saved me from all that peanut butter taffy that stuck together in blobs of five. And the candy corn straight from a two-year-old's bare hands.
Drunks can be quite generous. We knew one who, when he ran out of full-sized Snickers, started dropping cash into our pillowcases. Good times!
