It's the time of the year when we all begin to look forward to all the changes for the next year.

I wonder if Smoke beats out Kyle for the best points on JGR this year.

I wonder how Mark Martin will do for Hendrick. I like him and all but he will be the 4th driver.

Martin for Mears. Yeah, that seems fair.

That might be a killer team next year, provided Jr gets a better pit.

Carl Edwards won the Hefty Odor Block 200 yesterday. Will he be able to double up in Phoenix and keep the pressure on Jimmie Johnson?

    Smile I don't think so

When was the last time this year someone won both the Nationwide and the Sprint Cup races in the same weekend?

    Wasn't it Kyle Busch?

I know Kyle did it in Chicago in July. Carl did it at Michigan in August

    Code:
    11-Jul	Dollar General 300 Kyle Busch	12-Jul	LifeLock.com 400 Kyle Busch

    16-Aug	Carfax 250	Carl Edwards	17-Aug	3M Performance 400 Carl Edwards

Given Edwards position today, it'll require a superhuman effort on his part ...

... and a lot of luck.

Meanwhile, it seems as though DBR NASCAR is all agog with David Reutimann.

I have him in there because I ran out of races for Kvapil. I fell asleep this week on fantasy duties.

    I hope you're right!

No one's going anywhere right now. 44 laps in, and there's a red flag.

    Question

Kurt Busch (2nd) in the interview afterwards, was REALLY nice to JJ. HUGE Props to JJ!!

    This is Kurt Busch??

JJ is 141 pts ahead of Edwards. It's left to just those two.

Next week is Homestead... advantage Edwards & Biffle.

    Cheers,
    Lavabe

eta JJ needs to finish 36th or better next week to take the Cup.

36th...shouldn't be hard to do barring some sabotage.

    Smile Technically...

If JJ leads one lap, he needs to finish 37th or better. If he leads more laps than anyone else, he needs to finish 39th or better.

TECHNICALLY, if all of his teammates qualify, then decide yo drop out of it, he might just have to beat one driver.

Oh yeah ... he has this one.
    Cheers,
