    Best HBO shows?

So I don't think this was a thread here before (lord I hope not) but I wanted to bring up... best HBO shows in history?

    Top Five...

5: Rome. Awesome, bloody, crass, crude, gossipy, and excellent.

4: Sex and the City: Okay, I am a dude, but even I appreciated this one

3: Sopranos: Duh. Even without being an Italian from Jersey I still loved it. The last few seasons, however, drag it down.

2: Curb Your Enthusiasm: Larry is always right; it is the rest of the world that is wrong.

1: Band of Brothers: Best piece of media ever produced.

So? What do you all think?

    Entourage. The best.

Also, Deadwood didn't run long enough but it's definitely on my Top 5 list.

Extras is the best of the HBO series. David Bowie singing about Ricky Gervais might be the funniest two minutes in TV history.

    1. Band of Brothers. I watch this on DVD, two or three times a year.

2.Sopranos. I still don't understand the ending but what the H.

3.Rome. This ended too soon. Darn those bookeepers.

4.Deadwood. This ended too soon, 2.

5.?? Entourage, Sex and the City, Flight of the Conchords, Big Love, who knows? Big drop-off from top four for me.

Curb Your Enthusiasm? I never got this. It just didn't resonate with me. I never thought it was funny.

The real question is, will this be the same list five years from now? Cause they seem to have lost their mojo.

I haven't seen all of the ones on your list, but Six Feet Under deserves a mention.

Can't help but agree with everyone's opinion of Band of Brothers.

Larry David's self-description of his character is that he's the guy who doesn't know when to shut up or stop.

Band of Brothers may be the best miniseries ever, cable or network. DVD set with extras is excellent.

It deserves more than a mention. It was the best show on HBO. Ever. Period.

    We forgot The Wire? Duh.

Move it to number four. Maybe three.

The Wire is an awfully strong challenger for that distinction.

    5. Curb
    4. Sopranos
    3. Band of Brothers
    2. Deadwood
    1. The Wire

Watched Little Britain USA tonight. Talk about highs and lows. Laughed out loud about a dozen times, but other parts were unwatchable.

Isn't Six Feet Under a Showtime production?

I love Flight of the Conchords, but I haven't seen enough of these shows (don't have HBO) to make a full list. I do enjoy CYE and the Wire though.

    Definitely HBO.
Michael Hall, from Six Feet Under, is now on Dexter, which is a show on Showtime.

I can set one up, but have got to get to work ATM... also, I knew I would miss things, so wanted to get some responses; for example, I forgot The Wire because I've never seen it

If a mod sees this and wants to make a poll (Jason Evans?) that would be lovely
