    Udaman already listed Raiders, or I would have added to my list. And I don't know, Stand by Me just never appealed to me as much as the other movies(doesn't mean it was bad, just that the others were in fact, brilliant).

    What, are sports movies not eligible for this category? The '80s was the best decade for them, and had the top three in our poll here -- Hoosiers, Field of Dreams and Bull Durham. Personally, I would add Chariots of Fire to the list. I also liked An Officer and a Gentleman a lot, for some reason.
