PGA Championship

I look forward to every golf major but it's a little harder to be excited without the two-time defending champion in the field. Hopefully we'll get some great stories this week like we did with Greg Norman (and others) at the British Open.

Right now with half the field well into their first rounds, only five of seventy-eight players are under par so obviously the course is playing tough.

Just for fun I am picking Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk and Sean O'Hair as my top three, but I am rooting for a nobody like a Tin Cup or a likeable somebody such as Rocco Mediate or Fred Couples.

For the second major in a row, Thursday arrived and I didn't even know that major was happening that weekend. The lack of Tiger is astounding in how little media coverage the events receive.
