    What's wrong with this?

    - kids get exposure that may lead to free education
    - kids get free trips around the country
    - HS coaches make a living
    - college coaches get a better chance to evaluate talent

    Seems like win-win all around.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or naive.

This is about AAU coaches of elite players getting paid well to "influence" their star players to commit to the programs that are running the "elite camps."

Donovan, as Parrish correctly pointed out is "often credited with developing the Elite Camp concept," is holding his Florida Elite camp in the very near future. You can rest assured that he will try his best to make certain the right people in the Boynton and Knight circles are getting paid.
