I don't know why I thought of this while at the game last night, perhaps because I was sitting near the band. I thought it might be funny if the Band played the other team's fight song - but played it horribly out of tune, off-tempo, and just completely butchered as though it were being done by a bad fourth grade band.
Now that's thinking like a real Cameron Crazy!
Anyone know somebody in the band that can make this happen next year?
When I was in the band in the late nineties at a football game, we once played a horrible, out of tune, chord every time the Clemson band finished playing Tiger Rag.
Unless the band has changed much since I was there, asking them to learn 11 new fight songs, even badly, would probably be a stretch. Although it would be funny, especially if we all knew alternate words to the songs and could sing along.
Then again, I doubt Coach K would approve of what comes after "I'm a ramblin' wreck from Georgia Tech and I think I'm an engineer..."
