I do not work on the floor. When I am in the office I work at my desk.
Office on the first floor where I spend most of the time lurking on DBR. The only work I do, however, is when I am on the 2nd floor. Low altitude. Houston is only about 15 ft above sea level, I think, unless we have a flash flood or a hurricaine. Then, I'm just about level with the water on the first floor. No kidding. the Med Center has flooded at least 4 times since I have been here, only one of which was a hurricaine, so I know of what I speak.

32. just high enough that if there's a fire drill, my legs are unwalkably sore from taking all those flights down.
My office is in a building on the 1st Floor or sea level. However, I spend a significant part of my work day aboard ships, working in various spaces, ranging from 15-30 feet below sea level to 30-45 feet above sea level. Hopefully, my situation complicates your sample.
Um . . ."work"?
I work on the "ground floor" of a hospital. This means that I am one floor below the "first floor" and one floor above the official "basement."
I'm on the 12th floor (with a view of Duke Chapel on the horizon)
