Heh heh heh... :) Yeah, my childhood was the Yoda figure with the snake and the Bespin Han Solo (who was so much cooler than the vest Han) and the original, non-kid version of Boba Fett. Don't even get me into the wampa (with swinging action claws!) or the Rancor (best... toy... EVER. Besides the AT-AT, of course.)
BTW, not sure if there are any classmates here, but the roommate and I DID take a "Religion in Star Wars" house course at Duke in 97. It was either that or badminton... we needed a half credit. But yeah, the class was a lot of fun! It was right when the originals were remastered. We spent lots of time BSing about Star Wars, sometimes over beers at the bar on Central. It was a pretty damn fun class... not too often you go home after class and continue the arguments back at the dorm!
