I found this interesting...
Energy drinks' caffeine in line with coffee
Quote:
Despite such speedy-sounding names as "Full Throttle," "Amp" and "Rush," energy drinks pack a punch that is generally no stronger than coffee, according to a report released on Monday.
Why pay the extra $$ for Energy drinks when a cup of joe will do the trick.
I couldn't agree more. In fact...

Your post reminded me of a "New Rules" segment on Real Time with Bill Maher:
Quote:
New Rule: The more complicated the Starbucks order, the bigger the a**hole. If you walk into a Starbucks and order a "decaf grande half-soy, half-lowfat, iced vanilla, double-shot, gingerbread cappuccino, extra dry, light ice, with one Sweet-n'-Low and one NutraSweet," ooh, you're a huge a**hole
'Nuff said.
Hate to break it to you, EarlJam

For me, EarlJam, I like my coffee with a little cream, no sugar. I usually brew Seattle's Best. Hate Starbucks. Caribou is good coffee.
Good morning back to you, EJ -- good thread. Slept fine, disappointed to wake up to see it gray and 55 again.
Man, I hate to break it to you, but Starbucks (gasp) owns Seattle's Best. Thanks for supporting my local economy. :)
I drink my coffee the way my grandma first made it for me when I was 5 -- with sugar & 2% milk. (Though now I'm a Splenda gal.)
I brew Costco-bulk/Starbucks Roasted coffee at home. At work, we have Starbucks machines that grind, brew and pour single servings of their house blend. (Choice of full-caf, half-caf or de-caf, plus a Hot Choco option.)
If I do go to a coffee shop, I prefer Tully's lattes (their espresso is MUCH better) -- double-tall, one splenda.
I usually drink a full mug at home, plus 1-2 at work. No caffeine for me after 5PM, or I won't get to sleep until after 3AM. (My brain just spins and spins, and although I'm bone tired, I'll get no actual rest.)
