Wow what are the odds I would be selected to receive free electronics just by visiting DBR boards. Good thing I had my volume turned up so everyone at work knows how lucky I am!

Yeah those "loud" ads almost ruined by ability to check DBR at work. Almost.

At work, I always either (a) keep headphones plugged into my laptop or (b) have the volume muted. These are a must for surfing at work.

Also, I would hope that a person who complains about any sort of advertisement on DBR has either made a significant donation or played a role in bringing a sponsorship.

So... anyone have an extra iPhone or XBOX to send me? :p I wasn't selected.

Always use head phones or mute the sound! In my last job this was actually required (along with having cell phones/pdas on 'stun'). Lots of IT folks in a tight space made for a constant barage of beeps/rings/ etc until the CIO made everyone shut them up.

Right now there are probably 50 people with ear shot of my office...can't imagine what it sound like if all their PCs had sound on. I'd have to hurt someone.

I want a free iphone or Xbox. Darn. I feel cheated
